Hanna Haarala is one of the UK's leading Professional Latin & Ballroom teachers. In a career spanning over 20 years, Hanna has represented Finland as an amateur at the European and World Games. Andrew Cuerden and Hannah Haarala began dancing together in 2003 and were ranked in the top 5 UK amateur couples before turning professional in 2005. Career highlights include: 7th place Blackpool Rising Star (2006) and top 24 at the Internationals (2006). She appeared in numerous finals around the world. In 2005, Andrew and Hanna were invited to compete in BBC television’s Strictly Come Dancing. Hanna partnered Casualty star Will Thorp (Woody) while Andrew partnered Holby City Star Jaye Jacobs (Nurse Donna Jackson). Andrew Cuerden and Hanna Haarala retired from competing in June 2008.
